TP

In equities trading, the Target Price or TP of a stock is the price at which a trader or investor envisions trading again having taken a position.

Good investors commonly set a TP before making the decision to buy or short a stock, and some choose to place conditional orders at or near the TP so they can crystalize profits.

Brokers and other analysts will often set a TP when reviewing a stock. The TP is often set based upon fundamentals, technicals or a combination of both.
